Most security products are built from threat models on a whiteboard. This one was built from the other side of the gap, from watching how easily account recovery can be turned against someone, and how little stands in the way.

So we built the one thing that was missing: a checkpoint. A pause. A human yes. The thing that changes how the story goes.
