No legalese wall. Here's exactly what we hold and why. The short version is: as little as possible, for as short a time as possible.
What we collect
The contact details you give us (email, and a mobile if you give one), and the emails sent to your SAFE2RECOVER recovery address. We do not collect or access your normal inbox, your passwords, or your account contents.
If you join the early-access list, we also record the IP address and browser details of that request, to stop spam and abuse.
Why we hold it
To do the one job you've asked us to do: hold a reset, alert you, and release it only when you approve. If you give us a mobile (it is optional on Free), it is used to send approval texts and, if you enable it, verification calls.
How long we keep it
We keep a copy of every message sent to your recovery address, with a record of what we did with it. Message content is deleted after 30 days on Free and 12 months on paid; the record of what happened is kept for two years. Nothing is sold, trained on, or read beyond that address.
What we never do
We never sell your data, never share it with advertisers, and never use your mail to train models. We use third parties only where essential to deliver the service (for example, to send the SMS), and hold them to the same standard.
Analytics on this website
On these public web pages we use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages are useful, so we can improve the site. It records aggregate, non-identifying usage, such as page views and approximate region, and does not identify you by name or link to your recovery mail. Analytics cookies stay off unless you choose Accept in the cookie banner. You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser, or block analytics at any time with a standard analytics blocker.
Your rights
You can export or delete your data, and remove SAFE2RECOVER from your accounts, at any time. To make a request or ask a question, contact us at the address below.
