Yes. The core checkpoint, holding resets and waiting for your approval, is free forever. Paid tiers buy speed and capacity: login codes as instant texts instead of delayed email, and more protected addresses. We will never paywall basic safety.

You drop back to Free. Codes switch from instant texts to email after about 5 minutes (unless you have text credit), and your plan allows one address again (the addresses you already have are never deleted). Held mail stays held, and the checkpoint never switches off. You lose speed, never protection.

You change your recovery email back and you're exactly where you started, in one step. We're a checkpoint in front of your accounts, not a gatekeeper of them; nothing is held hostage, ever.

Codes are never held for approval: SAFE2RECOVER tells the difference between a login code and a takeover attempt. On Free, login codes and approval notices come by email after about 5 minutes. With text credit (or on a paid plan) they come by text, instantly. Only resets, recovery requests, and security changes are held.

We keep a copy of every message sent to your recovery address, with a record of what we did with it. Message content is deleted after 30 days on Free and 12 months on paid; the record of what happened is kept for two years. Nothing is sold, trained on, or read beyond that address.
